These are Activity Messages for Teachers / Parents / Older Children to help younger Children understand how to live with God, His way. 

 

What you say (to yourself or others) will happen to you

Show them a picture of a snail. And how it can only travel on what comes out of its mouth. Explain that one day, the snail will cross its own trail.

*Message*: What you speak about, or to, others, will one day happen to you. So speak only the good things. 

*Activity*
Think of nice things to say about someone and go and say it to them. 

Phillipians 4:4-8
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. Having trouble is normal. It is changing you

Show them a picture of a caterpillar and a cocoon and a butterfly. And how God changes them.

*Message*:

you have to go through trouble while changing from one thing into another.

*Activity*
Have people curl up into a ball lying on their back next to each other. Girls next to girls and boys next to boys. Tell them that when the music plays they must slowly "grow" (stretch out SLOWLY) their right arm.
Play some music until all have their right are stretched out. Then do the left leg, then their right leg then their left arm. Then to sit up, then to stand.
Remind them that while they were growing they were getting in each others ways and making it difficult and uncomfortable for each other.
Then tell them to go and forgive whoever made their growing difficult or uncomfortable.

How to Pray without Ceasing

*Memory Verse* 1 Thesselonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing. 

*Message*:

when you pray believe, and then don't say anything to yourself or anyone else to change what you have said. 

*Activity*
Give each child a flat stone. Ask them to make some space in the front of them. Ask them to look at the stone and decide which side is the nicest for them.
Then ask them to put it down with the nice side on top. Tell them that the top of the stone is like a prayer to God. Then tell the children to turn over their stone. Now tell them to turn their stone over. And say that God can no longer answer their prayer because they changed it.
Then explain that when they pray a prayer, they must not agree with anyone that the prayer they pray is different.
Tell them that they can, on their own, when they are walking around, collect a stone for each person they will be praying for ask someone to write, or scratch, the name of the person they are praying for on it. They can keep the stones by their bed as a reminder that they are still trusting God to answer their prayer.

14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all.
15 See that none render evil for evil unto any; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all.
